This cocktail was created with the help of the mixologist Romain Cavelier for the 40 years of my son Nicolas.
Ingredients (for 1 person)
- 1 ½ ounces (45 mL) gin
- ½ ounce (15ml) of saffron syrup
- ¼ ounce (7ml) of green or yellow chartreuse, depending on availability
- ½ ounce (15ml) squeezed lemon juice
- 1 drop of essential oil of bergamot
To serve in “shooter”: prepare the day before and serve fresh with chopped basil leaves in a shooter glass.
For a cocktail: In a martini glass. Put all the ingredients in a shaker and shake. Filter and serve with basil leaves.
