Le petit Nicolas

This cocktail was created with the help of the mixologist Romain Cavelier for the 40 years of my son Nicolas.

Ingredients (for 1 person)

  • 1 ½ ounces (45 mL) gin
  • ½ ounce (15ml) of saffron syrup
  • ¼ ounce (7ml) of green or yellow chartreuse, depending on availability
  • ½ ounce (15ml) squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 drop of essential oil of bergamot

To serve in “shooter”: prepare the day before and serve fresh with chopped basil leaves in a shooter glass.

For a cocktail: In a martini glass. Put all the ingredients in a shaker and shake. Filter and serve with basil leaves.
